Google Bard Explained – Innovative Features – The new Google Bard features will be available to people with a Google Account in more than 230 countries and territories, including the EU, by mid-2023.
In mid-July 2023, Bard will be available to adults with Google Accounts in other countries, including Brazil and across the EU. Bard is Google’s experimental entry into the competitive world of conversational AI systems like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Cloud, and Inflection AI’s Pi.
Google Bard Explained – Innovative Features
To try Bard, sign in to your browser with a Google Account from a supported country. If you are using a Google Workspace account, you may want to check with your administrator, as some organizations may restrict or deny access. When you log in to Bard, you can explore the detailed features below.
How Does Bard, Google’s Ai Powered Chatbot Compare To Chatgpt?
By mid-July 2023, Bard will be able to communicate and respond in more than 40 languages. The 10 most common languages available in Bard are:
The list above is roughly ordered by the number of speakers for each language. Bard includes speech-to-text and text-to-text support (Figure A).
Select a speaker (circled) to read the response to the Bard. Select the microphone (indicated by a square) to speak the prompt.
To give advice to the Bard voice, make sure the input field is active (cursor is in it), select the microphone icon and say a word to enter a tip. Edit the text if necessary, then select the Submit icon.
Google Reveals Bard, Its Answer To Chatgpt
To have the bard read your reply (text-to-speech), select the speaker icon in the upper-right corner next to the View Other Drafts menu. Select the speaker icon again to stop reading.
Bard usually offers a quick way to improve your answer: Click the Edit Answer button (Figure B) and choose from five options:
The first two options, short and long, change the length of the answer, and the other three change the tone of the answer. The simple version has no explanatory text, while the casual version uses more informal language, such as you might use in a conversation with a friendly colleague. There is a more professional tendency towards active voice and the use of more specific or technical words. It gives a short description of the changes made by Bard, if you copy the content you can leave this description.
You can pin any conversation (Figure C) so that it appears at the top of Bard’s list of all recent chats.
Google’s Ai Search And Bard Chatbot Are Open To Public, But Are Quite Different; Learn The Difference Between The Two And How To Use Them
In recent chats on the right, select the More menu (in a circle), then pin the conversation for easy access. Pinned chats appear first in the list.
Isolating certain chats helps you keep the bard talking about a specific topic, as different topics require different sets of questions and answers. For example, a series of tips about machine learning would not be linked to a short series of questions about remote work policies. Pin each individual chat, then when you return, select the relevant pinned conversation and move on to the next request.
Now you can create and share a public link to your bard chat. Select the Share icon and Share options (Figure D), then choose whether you want to attach tips and tricks to a single answer or to the entire conversation.
Select the Share icon and then the Share option to create a public link to a conversation or a specific question and answer.
How To Access Google Bard Ai: A Comprehensive Guide
You can also change the display title of shared content. Public links display Bard content in its original format, including images. This is a different situation when you select a copy reaction (eg More | Copy menu) and the system deletes the images. This sharing option allows you to show people what Bard can do.
Load an image, then reference it on clues, asking the Bard to identify places or objects, extract text, or find information related to the image. For example, you can upload a picture of a book and then ask for more information about it. The bard can often translate the text of the images or suggest captions.
Google says the system uses the capabilities of Google Lens. Image capabilities are only available in English versions of Bard.

Andy Wolber helps people understand and use technology for social impact. He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his wife Liz and daughter Katie. On May 10, Google said Bard would be rolling out to more than 180 countries, including India.
Built on top of LaMDA, Bard uses Google’s neural network architecture to identify patterns in text and generate new results based on past experience.
Google plans to integrate the AI chatbot with other products such as Drive, Gmail and Docs soon.
Google Bard Can Now Talk Out Loud And Is Available Across Europe
At the technology faculty’s flagship event, Google I/O 2023, on May 10, the company’s top executives gathered at the Shoreline Amphitheater in California to deliver a keynote. After Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Google Assistant business unit CEO Cissy Xiao took the stage.
In the middle of his speech, Xiao made an important statement, drawing applause from the audience. He announced that Bard will expand to more than 180 countries, including India.
“Bard is rapidly improving and introducing new features, and we want people all over the world to try it out and share their feedback. So today we’re removing the waiting list and opening Bard to more than 180 countries and territories,” Xiao said.
After that, Twitter users in India went crazy and started going online to get their hands on Bard, which is considered to be the biggest competitor to Microsoft OpenAI-backed ChatGPT. Users have asked Bard a variety of questions online, from major topics to assembly elections like coding in Python, entertaining some and frustrating others.
What Is Google Bard
The Language Model for Language Applications (LaMDA), developed over many years and presented two years ago in 2021, was publicly launched in March of this year to select users under the name Bard. Simply put, Bard OpenAI’s ChatGPT is Google’s answer.
Built in-house at LaMDA, Bard uses Google’s neural network architecture called Transformer and powers searches. The network essentially identifies patterns in large text data sets and then learns from previous experiences to replicate new results.
AI chatbots, trained in “natural sounding” conversational questions and answers, are designed to solve natural language queries for searches rather than keywords.
This is achieved by deploying Transformers, consisting of a series of hierarchical layers that process the input text one at a time. Each level is designed to extract as much information as possible from the user’s request.
Google’s Bard Comes To India. Here’s Everything You Need To Know
It starts by extracting information such as syntax and text structure, and then gradually uses that data to learn statistical patterns and relationships between words and sentences in a query. Decision making is based on unsupervised previous training data and millions of lines of information previously transmitted during the training process.
Simply put, Bard uses the LaMDA language model to understand the user’s question and its context. He then cross-checks the information with similar datasets from his LLM to understand the nuances of the request, and then prepares a response based on information gleaned from the Internet. This response is converted into a “conversational response” format that the user is used to and provides better responses than traditional searches.
But while ChatGPT and Google’s Bard have been trained to handle large volumes of text, the tech giant’s advantage over the former appears to be the training data Google has collected and refined over the years.
Like ChatGPT, Google’s new AI chatbot can see implementations in every area of a person’s life. Whether it’s content creation or creative writing, Bard can help businesses and users save time and resources by creating a steady stream of content.

It can also be used to prepare code for developers and create catchy marketing campaigns with slogans and catchphrases. Students can also use Bard for educational purposes, though the company says the AI chatbot isn’t perfect yet.
At the I/O 2023 event, Google also said that Bard will put more emphasis on the “visibility” of its answers, meaning that the AI platform will include images alongside text in its answers in the future. The tech company is also considering a full-scale integration with the Bard search engine.
The techie said it will also eventually include features that will allow users to include images in their suggestions, which will be achieved through Google Lens integration with Bard. The AI chatbot will also integrate with Google’s suite of products, such as Drive, Gmail and Docs, among other applications.
