It’s finally here: Discord voice chats are coming to Xbox consoles. Starting today, Xbox Insiders can try out this new integration that lets you join Discord conversations from an Xbox One or Xbox Series S/X console. Although it’s not a Discord app for Xbox, you can connect calls. Chat from the Discord and Xbox mobile apps to your Xbox console and with friends using a regular Xbox headset.
How To Connect Discord To Xbox – Gaming Communication
I tested the integration today and it shows up on both the Discord Mobile panel and the Xbox panel. First, go to the Parties and Chats section of the Xbox Dashboard and scan the QR code on your phone. This will open the Discord mobile app and then link your Xbox profile to your Discord profile. When you do this, you’ll see a new Switch to Xbox option when joining a Discord mobile call. Press this and you’ll be taken to the Xbox Mobile app, where the call will be transferred to your Xbox console.
Connect Your Worlds
It’s a bit of a setup process, but the result is the ability to chat with friends in a Discord conversation right from your Xbox. Great if you play crossover games
Within the Xbox Control Panel itself, Discord calls are seamlessly integrated into the part of the Xbox Control Panel where party and chat functions are usually located. In Discord Voice Call, you can see all your Discord friends who are currently on the call, adjust the volume, and disconnect from the call right from your Xbox dashboard. The Xbox Dashboard will even prompt you to try out the new Discord integration if you haven’t already set it up, and walk you through the process of connecting your accounts and calling on Xbox.
But what you can’t do is text chat. There is no support for Discord text channels as these are Discord voice calls only. However, many Xbox users have been waiting years to join their friends in Discord chats, and this will definitely help bridge the gap between PC and Xbox gaming.
If you’re a member of the Xbox Insiders Alpha or Alpha Skip-Ahead circles today, you can try out the new Discord voice calls on Xbox. It will gradually roll out to more Xbox testing circles over the coming weeks, followed by all Xbox owners in the coming months. Xbox users can now use Discord voice chat, but you’ll have to jump for it. First through several small loops. Once everything is set up, you and your friends on other platforms won’t have to worry about using in-game chat. You can all talk to each other without others interrupting your conversation. Here’s everything you need to know about how to connect Discord to Xbox.

The first thing you need to do is open the Discord app on your phone. Once you’re in the app, you’ll want to click on your profile picture in the bottom right corner of the app. Scroll down and when you see the Connections tab, select it.
On the Connections page, at the top right, you’ll see another tab called Add. Click on it and scroll down and select Xbox. Then welcome to your phone and start the pairing process.
You’ll want to follow this process to sign in to your Xbox account using the Discord app. Now that it’s connected, you’ll get another message telling you to install the Xbox mobile app on your phone, so make sure you have it ready.
Now that you have everything connected, the next steps shouldn’t take long. You want to join the Discord audio channel from your phone. Then in the app, scroll up and click on the Connect to Xbox tab.

It’s also worth noting that you can also connect your Xbox to a Discord audio channel via a computer. However, if you want to do that, you’ll need to scan a QR code using the Xbox Mobile app to connect.
