Marriott Hotels For Road Trips In The Southwest – Marriott Bonvoy is one of the best and easiest ways for travel hacks to book hotel rooms and vacations at a discount. Through our work with Marriott, we have stayed in dozens and dozens of Marriott properties – from ultra-luxury destination resorts, to select service brands as simple, always reliable road trip stops.
I first fell in love with travel through Credit Card churning and travel hacking – when Brandon and I first started, all flights and trips were booked with miles and points because that was the only way we could afford it. Now, my main focus is status. I maintain top tier airline status for free upgrades, lounge access, priority lines, and pass perks – and the Marriott Bonvoy offers a great combination of both. You can easily book large rooms with points,

Collect nights for Marriott Elite Status for benefits like upgrades, more points, and free breakfast (I live for free breakfast.) One thing I have to call out – booking with points directly in the Marriott app is the easiest process I’ve ever had. found, just search, a few clicks, and you have a reservation. I have literally never met a system with an easier way to exchange your points, and I must shout my appreciation to the company that makes using this easy.
Best Grand Canyon Hotels: Where To Stay Near Grand Canyon National Park
Are hotels in the United States expensive? From Hawaii to Maine, here are 12 of my personal favorites for great views, great amenities, beautiful interiors, perfect locations, and overall the best vibes from American coast to coast.
I describe Westin hotels as a “sleeper hit” from Marriott. While the brand is categorized as luxury, it doesn’t have the same name recognition or prestige as brands like St Regis and Ritz Carlton – but I’ve always found Westin hotels to be a great experience to stay in, with unique amenities and great restaurants. . I’ve never had a bad time at a Westin!
The newly remodeled Westin Maui, with unobstructed ocean views, several restaurants, multilevel pools with large pool cabanas, roaming flamingos, and a really fantastic location on Kaanapali Beach. The Ahi Tuna Wonton Nachos at Hale Moʻolelo restaurant can only be described as “life changing.” We have definitely stayed at the Ritz Carlton here in Maui a couple of times, and I honestly love this hotel more for its conveinent location and overall great vibe.
I had no idea what to expect from Spokane, but this hotel really blew me away! Step back in time and experience the grandeur of yesteryear at The Historic Davenport Hotel. This wonderful hotel, originally opened in 1914, has been meticulously restored to its former glory and is one of the most unique hotels I have seen in the United States.

When I travel on private trips, I especially love the Hotel Autograph Collection because they are all unique and boutique feels without a hint of the company – while still being able to take advantage of points and Elite Status. In Davenport, take some time to walk around the mezzanine level to see historical photos, newspaper clippings and artifacts and decorative ballrooms – walking through the hotel is basically a free trip to the museum.
We had FUN at this hotel. Modern, full of art, and with a great cocktail bar, W Bellevue is the perfect place for a fun stop in Seattle. With really unique rooms, a prime location in the heart of Bellevue and stunning views of Lake Washington, this hotel offers luxury facilities, good music in every corridor, and a vibrant bar and dining scene. The hotel’s Lakehouse Restaurant is amazing, and well worth making a reservation!
We’ve never been to Seattle before, and the Bellevue area is a very quick drive to downtown, but it’s also a beautiful area to walk around in, and gives more of a live-in local feel than the area around Pikes. Premises.
Newly opened in 2021, in the heart of Jackson Hole, Cloudveil Autograph Collection offers an authentic Western experience with luxurious modern amenities and exquisite decor and details. We stayed here in the summer, and it was the perfect place to come back and walk around Jackson Hole after hiking in the Tetons all day. I would love to come back in the winter and see the city in the snow!
Marriott Hotels To Avoid If Complimentary Breakfast Is Important
Every corner of this hotel is just effortlessly cool and elegant, and as much as I wanted to explore all the natural beauty of Wyoming from dawn to dusk, part of me just wanted to sit here and soak in this hotel all day too.
If you’re coming to Moab, Utah to explore Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, or Capitol Reef, Element Moab is the best place to stay – we LOVE it here. The location is perfect and just a few minutes from the Arches, which was very important to us as we decided to go up to the Grand Arch at sunset and had to leave at 4 AM to arrive at that time. In between hiking adventures, we get out of the mid-day heat in the pool, take a break from the restaurant by grilling some food on the pool deck grill, and reset for the next day’s outing.
Element has comfortable beds, a strong focus on comfort and sustainability and being environmentally friendly, and free breakfast for all. And I’m sure I’ve already said that I love free breakfast. It is a very important part of the hotel experience.
This hotel is truly iconic, The Royal Hawaiian, now in Marriott’s Luxury Collection brand, first opened back in 1927 and the original Waikiki hotel – the history here is amazing, and the design and pink details are just perfect. Known as the “Pink Palace of the Pacific,” the Royal Hawaiian is located on Waikiki beach. While I usually never visit Waikiki on Oahu, this hotel is worth a stop to rent a beach chair with a signature pink umbrella, see historical photos, explore the lush gardens, stop at the famous Mai Tai Bar and take an outrigger ride. Waikiki waves are popular with local guides.

Unfortunately, we visited here at the end of 2020, so we didn’t have a chance to try all the restaurants in this hotel, including the fine dining experience Azure, so I hope to come back again!
The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia is a stunning luxury experience located in the heart of downtown Philadelphia. This historic hotel was originally built in 1908 (I always have a thing for historical buildings and hotels with stories) has luxurious guest rooms, cloud-like beds, and the famous St. Regis service, all in a prime location with very easy walking or a quick drive. for Philadelphia’s top attractions.
We came here for a while just to take pictures, but the marble columns, the exterior decoration and lobby bar, and the stunning ballrooms blew me away – whenever we come back to Philly, this is definitely where I want to stay again!
Literally next door to the Royal Hawaiian, the Sheraton Waikiki is a great alternative option in the lower category – and it has a key amenity that the Royal Hawaiian doesn’t have – a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The first photo is the view straight from our room – and it’s hard to beat!
Days In The American Southwest: The Ultimate Road Trip
There is also a large pool with many shallow areas and a waterslide, making this a perfect vacation spot for families.
The rooftop Wet Deck bar at W Aspen is VIBE, with a pool, hot tub, fireplace, DJs, and a great cocktail list. This mountain escape has a prime location at the base of Aspen Mountain, with direct access to some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the world. We visited Aspen in the summer so we haven’t experienced prime ski season yet, but the music, parties, and outdoor mountain experiences are all still going strong all year round.
The designs here are bold and bright, with major references to the 60s and 70s, as well as Native American designs and references to the region’s silver mining history. One of my favorite things about the W hotel is that like nowhere else in the world, from the moment you walk into the lobby, there’s always fun music and a party atmosphere that makes me (the queen of nonstop activities) want to. to stay at the hotel and soak in W 39 Degrees indoor / restaurant too!
If you want a luxurious, boujee ski weekend in Tahoe, there is no better place than The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe. The resort is truly ski-in, ski-out, and the ski butlers will even pull out your skis and set them up for you in the morning, so all you have to do is step out the patio door, clip in, and ride straight down to the ski lift. The hotel even has
